Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Chunlei Zhao ("we", "us") for using subvela.ai and the AI processing tools on it. Read them together with our Copyright & Disclaimer, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy — those four documents form the whole agreement.

Accepting These Terms

  • By creating an account or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
  • You must be at least 16, or old enough to form a binding contract where you live — whichever is higher.
  • If you use the service for a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these terms.

Your Account

  • Your account is identified by your email address. Keep your password confidential, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.
  • One person or one organisation per account, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Sharing a single account between unrelated people is not allowed.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Plans, Points and Billing

  • Some features are free within a monthly quota; others need a paid plan or points. Prices, quotas and what each plan includes are shown on our pricing page before you buy.
  • Payments are handled by Paddle.com, which acts as Merchant of Record. Paddle processes the transaction and handles invoicing, taxes and refunds; we do not receive your full card number.
  • Automatic renewal is optional and off by default. If you switch it on at checkout, we charge you at the start of each new period until you cancel, and you can turn renewal off at any time from your account page, keeping access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds, including the 14-day window, are covered by our Refund Policy.
  • Points spent on a task are not returned once the task has produced a result — except where the task failed through a fault of ours, in which case they are returned automatically and you do not need to ask.

Acceptable Use

  • Use the service only for lawful purposes and only on material you have the right to use. Our Copyright & Disclaimer sets out what is prohibited and forms part of these terms.
  • Do not try to break the service: no probing or scraping, no reverse engineering, no reselling access, and no circumventing quota, payment or security controls.
  • Do not use the service to send spam, to distribute malware, or to harm other people or systems.
  • Do not subject the service to automated requests beyond what normal use requires.

Availability and Changes

  • We work to keep the service available and working well, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no service-level commitment unless we have agreed one with you in writing.
  • We may add, change or remove features. Where we remove a feature you have paid for, we will tell you in advance if we reasonably can.
  • We may carry out maintenance, which can occasionally interrupt the service.

Your Content and Your Output

  • You keep the rights to everything you upload. You give us permission to store and process it only so that we can run the tasks you ask for and deliver the results.
  • Files you upload and the results we generate are deleted automatically 30 days after the task finishes. Download anything you want to keep before then.
  • Subject to your rights in what you uploaded, the output is yours. What we do and do not promise about AI-generated output is set out in the "AI-Generated Output" section of our Copyright & Disclaimer.
  • We do not use your content to train models.

Suspending and Ending the Service

  • You can stop using the service at any time. You can delete your account yourself from your account page — the account and its contents go immediately — or ask us to do it by emailing support@subvela.ai.
  • Before deleting an account we ask you to cancel any subscription that is still set to renew automatically, and to let any running tasks finish. If you would rather keep your data, your account page also has an export that downloads everything we hold about your account.
  • We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or our Copyright & Disclaimer, if the law requires it, or if your use puts the service or other users at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and explain why.
  • If we end your account for a breach, amounts already paid are not refunded except as set out in our Refund Policy.
  • If we discontinue the service as a whole, we will give notice where we reasonably can and refund the unused prepaid part of any subscription.

Liability

  • We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country that cannot be given up by agreement.
  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or data arising from your use of the service.
  • To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event concerned.
  • We are not liable for failures caused by things outside our reasonable control, including failures of third-party providers or of your own equipment and network.
  • These limits do not apply to fraud, to death or personal injury caused by negligence, or to anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the product or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and we will update the date at the top.
  • Carrying on using the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the service and delete your account from your account page.

Governing Law and Disputes

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of them.
  • This does not remove any right you have to bring or defend proceedings in your country of residence, or any protection given to you by the mandatory consumer law of your country.
  • Please contact us first — most problems are resolved faster by talking than by litigating.
